Two Important Visitations at Our Drop-in Centre This Week

We are elated to share that we received two important visitations this week at our Drop-in Centre.

On Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, we welcomed a research team from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio University, and Saint Louis University (Missouri, USA), along with teachers from Opoku Ware Secondary School in Kumasi. The purpose of their visit was to observe organizational management, particularly how NGOs survive and continue their work through challenges.

In addition, we received a group of 14 social science students led by Dr. Nicole Corley, a lecturer at the Virginia University (USA), today. The students, ranging from undergraduate to PhD level are embarking on an educational tour in Ghana and paid a visit to learn about the real situation of child streetism and the impact of social service organizations on children and vulnerable communities.

Our Director, Sr. Olivia Umoh DC was glad to educate the students on issues including child abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, and other factors that place children in vulnerable situations. She inspired them to be driven by compassion, commitment, and a genuine desire to help the needy.
