Safe-Child Advocacy, Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi under the able leadership of our Director, Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, held a one-day staff retreat to kick start the 2024 work year.
The Opening Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Michael Owusu-Kwarteng who also was the retreat director on the theme. “More than just Work”.
The theme, he said, is a divine call for every member of the SCA team to sacrifice willfully to the service of the poor without counting the cost. He cited quotes like “The most terrible poverty is not lack of material things, but the loneliness and the feeling of being unloved” and other popular quotes by Mother Theresa to rekindle the teams’ serving spirit going into 2024.
