Safe-Child Advocacy Advances Child Protection and Community Impact in Second Quarter 2026

Safe-Child Advocacy 2026 Second Quarter Newsletter

During the second quarter of 2026, we continued our mission of protecting and empowering vulnerable children, youth, and women through advocacy, safeguarding, capacity building, and community engagement.
Highlights included the AEPA 2026 Excellence in Humanitarian and Child Rights Advocacy Award presented to our Executive Director, Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC; awareness campaigns for the International Day for Street Children under the theme “Protect, Not Punish”; staff training in trauma-informed care; safeguarding workshops for caregivers; and collaboration with partners that led to the enactment of child protection by-laws in five communities in Northern Ghana.
We also welcomed international researchers and students, celebrated the contributions of our interns, and continued to champion the rights and well-being of vulnerable children through sustained media advocacy.
