SCA Dedicates Work Year to God with Opening Mass

Safe-Child Advocacy (SCA) began the year with an Opening Mass, dedicating all our efforts to God and expressing heartfelt gratitude for His guidance. The celebration served as a prayer for His continued dominion over our mission and activities throughout the year.

The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Gabriel Acheampong, Administrator of St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica and Chairman of our Board. In his homily, he reflected on the theme of service and vocation, urging everyone to live out their calling—whether as a priest, religious sister, or in married life—with diligence and faithfulness.

Our team, led by Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, Director of SCA, gathered alongside volunteers, beneficiaries, and staff from St. Vincent de Paul Day Care. The occasion was a profound moment of unity and renewed commitment to our mission of serving children, youth, and women in vulnerable situations.

As we embark on this new year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating safe spaces, restoring dignity, and empowering lives. With God’s grace and the continued support of our partners, staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries, Safe‑Child Advocacy looks forward to another year of impactful service and transformative change. Together, we journey in hope—renewed, inspired, and united in purpose.
