St. Vincent de Paul Day Care Centre Celebrates Third Graduation and End-of-Year Ceremony

St. Vincent de Paul Day Care Centre, a vital arm of Safe-Child Advocacy under the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi, held its third graduation and end-of-academic-year ceremony on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The Centre provides nurturing care and early childhood education for babies of young mothers, many of whom are in street or other vulnerable situations and children of market women who would otherwise have to bring their children to unsafe market environments.

The vibrant celebration, held on the school premises, marked the successful completion of four years of early childhood education for eleven proud graduates. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Rev. Fr. Stephen Nyarko; Sr. Gertrude Gima, Sister Servant of the St. Louise de Marillac Community of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul; and ten Spanish volunteers currently serving with Safe-Child Advocacy. Parents of the graduating children also attended in full support, cheering on their wards and celebrating this important milestone.

The ceremony featured a rich display of cultural and traditional performances by both outgoing and continuing students. Highlights included a dancing competition, modelling showcase, drama presentation, poetry recitation, and a mock news broadcast, all reflecting the creativity and confidence nurtured at the Centre.

Sr. Victoria Anamuni, DC, Headmistress of the Day Care Centre, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff for their unwavering commitment to the childrenโ€™s growth and development. She also thanked the parents and children for their trust in the Centreโ€™s mission. โ€œThis Centre will continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for early grade education,โ€ she affirmed, โ€œand foster a society where every child has the opportunity to thrive.โ€
