Safe-Child Advocacy (SCA) and ConPAHT–Talitha Kum Ghana held our annual End-of-Year Staff Meeting, bringing together team members for reflection, appreciation, and strategic planning for the year ahead.
The meeting began with prayers and staff introductions, followed by a warm welcome from Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, Director of SCA and National Coordinator of ConPAHT–Talitha Kum Ghana. In her address, she expressed deep gratitude for the dedication of staff throughout the year and emphasized the need for unity, teamwork, and renewed commitment to our mission.
Mr. Akwasi Prempeh, Human Resource Manager of SCA, presented the previous meeting’s minutes, leading into discussions on key issues and progress made since then.
St. Vincent de Paul Day Care – Annual Highlights
Our Day Care team presented major milestones achieved in 2025, including:![]()
- Pupils’ Career Day
- Quiz competition with Mary Seat of Wisdom Preparatory School
- Excursions to Kumasi Airport, Manhyia Palace Museum, Kumasi City Mall, and Kumasi Zoological Gardens
- Graduation of eight pupils
- Renovation works and encouraging feedback from parents

The team also outlined existing challenges and plans to improve services in the coming year. Sr. Olivia commended their commitment and contribution.
Field Team Report – Drop-in Centre
Our Field Team shared key achievements from the year, such as:![]()
- Successful family reintegration efforts
- Skills training and support for beneficiaries in formal education
- Hygiene workshops for children and youth
- Organization of a health screening exercise and sponsorship of medical bills for vulnerable persons
- Improved academic performance among beneficiaries
- Commemoration of SCA’s 20th Anniversary
The Director praised the team as “agents of change” and encouraged continued proactive engagement with children and families in need.
Talitha Kum Ghana – Anti-Trafficking Achievements
Talitha Kum Ghana reported notable progress in combating human trafficking, including:![]()
- Rescue operations and legal follow-ups for victims
- Participation in major global anti-trafficking events
- Counselling, reintegration, and support for over 100 survivors
- Awareness campaigns through radio, TV, and community placards
Looking ahead, our team plans to strengthen awareness creation, empower vulnerable groups, and secure temporary shelters for rescued victims.
General Organizational Updates
Additional achievements across our organization included:
- Installation of a mechanized borehole at the Drop-in Centre
- Successful celebration of SCA’s 20th Anniversary
- Launch of the Ghana Education Outcomes Project, supported by the World Bank
- Online safeguarding trainings, webinars, and media outreach
- Community support groups for young girls in rural communities
- Support for graduates, including over 40 skills trainees and beneficiaries completing various levels of formal education
- Staff development programs and ongoing renovations at project sites
Plans for 2026 include a team-building exercise and continued empowerment initiatives.
Christmas Break Announcement
Our Director announced the official break for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
- Work resumes on 12th January 2026
- Activities will include a team-building workshop, staff outing, and official resumption ceremony
The meeting concluded with a group photograph and refreshments, marking a meaningful close to a productive year.
