Thousands of children who deserve to be in schools or training in employable skills still live and work on the streets the world over with Africa, leading the worst scenery. Ghana is not excluded from this stark reality. Over sixty thousand (60, 000) lovely children of Ghana are found on the streets of Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, Tamale, and other major cities in Ghana.
This is generally associated with poverty, child abuse, peer influence, outmoded cultural practices, etc.
The phenomenon deprives poor children of dignified lives and future.
Education, health care, food, and shelter are among the basic rights entitled of every child. But how do these children enjoy these rights when they spend their lives hustling on the streets?
Join Safe-Child Advocacy to create access for children and young persons.
You can contribute even a small amount to our educational funds to move children from the streets into schools or skill training and get them reintegrated into society.
Join us to mark the International Street
Children Day on April 12, 2024.
