SCA Delegation Embarks on Annual Follow-Up in Northern Ghana

Empowering Lives, Protecting Children

This week, a five-member delegation from Safe-Child Advocacy (SCA), led by our Director, Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, is undertaking a follow-up mission in Tamale and surrounding communities in Northern Ghana.

This annual visit focuses on strengthening partnerships and assessing the impact of SCAโ€™s intervention programs in remote communities. These programs include skills training, formal education, and entrepreneurship empowerment for vulnerable children, youth, and women. Beneficiaries will share progress updates, success stories, and challenges encountered during implementation.

As part of the mission, the team will meet project partners and opinion leaders of the communities to reinforce collaboration and ensure sustainability of interventions. To make the most of the trip, the delegation will also organize community workshops and public durbars to raise awareness on child safeguarding, child streetism, and human trafficking. These sessions aim to educate and mobilize communities to create safer environments for children.

While the delegation is on the field, SCAโ€™s offices remain fully operational and are actively preparing for a webinar to commemorate UN Universal Childrenโ€™s Day on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Stay connected for updates from the field and join us for the upcoming webinar!
