This forms part of SCA’s project, “Promoting Child Rights and Equal Opportunities for Children in Street and Other Vulnerable Situations”. It was a very interactive and enlightening session as participants were facilitated to share their knowledge on child rights. Knowledge gaps were addressed appropriately, and questions asked from experiences were answered. It was impressive to see how participants’ knowledge on child rights has improved since the last workshop held. There was also a focus group discussion after which each group presented their points after brainstorming in a plenary. This is a practice that helps develop self-confidence and public speaking skills.
In a nutshell, it was an informative and educative program stuffed with insightful inputs from professionals at SCA and participants. Emphasis was placed on Child protection and defensive mechanisms against exploitation. Participants were also introduced to public and non- governmental organizations who can help them access their rights. Snacks and meals were served to all participants during and after the workshop respectively.
This is awesome
