On 8th February 2025, the ConPAHT Talitha Kum Ghana joined the global community to mark the World Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking with series of awareness creation activities across all 16 regions of Ghana. This day, dedicated to raising awareness about the realities of human trafficking, was observed through various educational and community engagement programs in schools, churches, and local communities.

The network members carried out activities in key locations such as Appiadu and Santasi Apire in the Ashanti Region, Ahafo Keyansi, Tamale in the Northern Region, Donkorkrom, Cape Coast in the Central Region, and Sunyani- Fiapre in the Bono region. These sessions focused on educating participants about the dangers of human trafficking, how to identify potential trafficking situations, and the importance of reporting suspected cases to authorities.

In schools, interactive sessions were held to empower students with knowledge on safe migration and how traffickers often operate. In churches and communities, the network engaged congregants through prayer, discussions, and the sharing of survivor stories to foster empathy and collective action against trafficking.

The day’s activities reinforced the network’s commitment to combating human trafficking through education, community engagement, and prayer. Talitha Kum Ghana Network remains steadfast in its mission to create a trafficking-free society, protecting the most vulnerable and supporting survivors on their path to healing and reintegration.
