Appreciation for Your Participation in Our Virtual Forum on Ending Child Marriage

We at Safe-Child Advocacy (SCA) extend our sincere appreciation to you for registering and participating in our virtual meeting on the theme “Ending Child Marriage: Protecting Every Child’s Future.” Your presence, contributions, and active engagement made the session truly impactful and inspiring.

This meeting formed part of our ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the suffering of vulnerable children—especially street-connected children—as we approach the International Day for Street Children on April 12th. We are grateful that you joined us in amplifying this important conversation.

We were privileged to host a distinguished panel of speakers who provided deep insights into the social, cultural, legal, health, and policy dimensions of child marriage in Ghana.

Throughout the presentations, several critical issues were highlighted, including:

  • The influence of cultural norms, poverty, and lack of education

  • Gaps in legal enforcement

  • The severe health risks girls face when forced into early marriage

  • The need for stronger community engagement and social norm change

  • Strengthening welfare and justice systems

  • Coordinated multi-sectoral interventions to protect vulnerable children

As we celebrate this Easter season—a moment of renewal, hope, and new beginnings— we are reminded of the power of compassion and collective responsibility. Easter encourages us to reflect on love, sacrifice, and restoration, values that inspire us to keep advocating for vulnerable children and their families. May this season renew our shared commitment to protecting every child and creating a future where they can grow in safety, dignity, and joy.

We wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, blessed, and joyful Easter.

Once again, thank you for standing with us to protect children, challenge harmful practices, and build a safer and brighter future for every child in Ghana. Together, we can help ensure that no child is robbed of their childhood, dignity, or potential.
