Safe-Child Advocacy Strengthens Teamwork with Exciting Staff Outing

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Safe-Child Advocacy (SCA) hosted a memorable staff outing at the Village Poolside, Adum, Kumasi. The event was designed to strengthen social connections and foster teamwork among staff from SCA’s two units—the Drop-in Centre and St. Vincent de Paul Day Care Centre.

The day featured a variety of fun activities, including football, UNO, card games, pool soccer, and swimming. Staff also enjoyed a selection of delicious meals, making the experience both exciting and refreshing.

A highlight of the outing was the Christmas Friends (KK) gift exchange, a cherished tradition where staff randomly select a colleague’s name, pray for them, and prepare a thoughtful gift to present during the outing.

As part of the celebration, two outstanding staff members were honored for their exceptional contributions in 2025:

  • Mr. Dwamena Akenten – Overall Best Staff, Drop-in Centre
  • Miss. Anastasia Adu-Kankam – Overall Best Staff, St. Vincent de Paul Day Care Centre

SCA Director, Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, expressed her gratitude to the entire team for their selfless service to vulnerable individuals. She was delighted that everyone enjoyed the outing and encouraged staff to carry this spirit of joy and teamwork into their work throughout the 2026 work year.
