Safe‑Child Advocacy announces with deep sorrow the passing of Madam Johanna Constance Johnson, affectionately known as Maa Joe, who was called to eternal rest a few weeks ago.
Madam Johanna served on the Board of Safe‑Child Advocacy for over ten years, offering invaluable guidance, wise counsel, and unwavering dedication to the protection and empowerment of vulnerable children, especially girls. Her commitment and compassion greatly strengthened the mission and impact of SCA.
As a devoted member of the St. Vincent Society, Maa Joe lived a life marked by deep generosity, humility, and a profound love for the poor and marginalized. Her strong Vincentian spirit influenced every aspect of her service and personal life, making her a beacon of hope wherever she served.
She also distinguished herself as the Headteacher of St. Louis Girls’ Secondary School, Kumasi, from where she retired after many years of outstanding service. Her professional life was defined by excellence, dedication, and a powerful passion for girl‑child education, shaping the minds and futures of countless young women who benefitted from her leadership and motherly guidance.
Her passing is a great loss to the Safe‑Child Advocacy family, the Vincentian community, the education sector, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
Farewell, Maa Joe — your legacy lives on in the many lives you touched. 🙏🕯️ ✝️💜
